HEAT TREAT SERVICES

STAINLESS STEEL

All Stainless Blades are cleaned and placed in a 321 Stainless Steel Airtight pouch and placed in Evenheat Heat Treat Oven. The Blades are Heat Treated using Specifications laid out by New Jersey Steel Baron.

Blades are quenched between Aluminum Quench Plates, then placed in Liquid Nitrogen and soaked for 24 hrs to complete the Hardening Process.

Blades are removed from the Liquid Nitrogen, brought back to room temp, then placed back in the heat treat oven and tempered as required.

After Quench and Temper, blades are tested on a Rockwell tester to determine HRC Hardness to ensure blade is Hardened as required.

CARBON STEEL

Blades are cleaned and coated with ATP-641 Anti Scale Compound. Once ATP has dried blades are placed in Evenheat Heat Treat Oven. Blades are Heat Treated using specifications laid out by New Jersey Steel Baron.

Blades are Quenched in Park 50 Heat Treat Oil, then placed in Liquid Nitrogen and soaked for 24 hrs to complete the Hardening Process.

Blades are removed from the Liquid Nitrogen, brought back to room temp, then placed back in the heat treat oven and tempered as required.

After Quench and Temper, blades are tested on a Rockwell tester to determine HRC Hardness to ensure blade is Hardened as required.

Heat Treat Charge is based on the overall length of the Blade. Stainless and Carbon Steel charges are the same laid out below.

NOTE:

Return freight charges are over and above the Heat Treat Charge and will be charged separately after heat treat is completed.
